The AIA Austin Homes Tour is one of the city’s most anticipated architecture events, showcasing exceptional residential design from leading architects and builders. Taking place October 25–26, 2025, this year’s tour features 10 thoughtfully curated homes that blend innovation, craftsmanship, and the distinct character of Austin’s neighborhoods.
Mason’s Mill & Lumber is honored to participate as a Gold Sponsor of the 2025 Homes Tour—continuing our long-standing commitment to supporting the architectural community. We believe great design starts with great collaboration, and this tour is a perfect example of how vision, craftsmanship, and quality materials come together to create remarkable spaces.
One of the featured homes on the tour—the Harvey House—showcases our materials in a stunning blend of historic charm and modern design.

Rather than erasing history, the design honors it. Salvaged materials—like original flooring, interior doors, and trim—were restored to maintain the character of the original bungalow. The new addition wraps around a central courtyard, creating a private outdoor space that floods the interior with light. Our materials support that blend of authenticity and modernity, adding warmth, structure, and refinement to the spaces.
The Harvey House is a perfect example of how smart design and high-quality materials work together to tell a story.
Honorable Staff Mentions
The Harvey House is the home where you’ll see Mason’s Mill & Lumber materials in action—and it’s a must-see for anyone who appreciates the blend of historic character, modern design, and craftsmanship.
While it’s our featured project on the tour, the AIA Austin Homes Tour includes nine additional homes that are absolutely worth exploring for design inspiration, especially when it comes to the creative use of natural wood.
Here are two projects on the tour that stood out to our team:
Timberline Residence
Designed by a parallel architecture and located in Rollingwood (78746). This home makes extensive use of natural wood panels on exterior façades and interior transitions—carrying warmth and texture through both indoor and outdoor living zones. The effect: wood that anchors the architecture in its site and brings a sense of human scale to large volumes.
Vista Lane
Designed by Cuppett Kilpatrick Architects, this residence features rich wood tones in millwork, cabinetry, and exterior trim that anchor the contemporary design in its context. From exterior finishes to interior transitions, wood is a defining element that enhances the home’s material narrative.
Although these homes do not feature our materials specifically, they showcase the kind of design‐driven applications of wood we strongly support at Mason’s Mill. Touring all ten homes gives a full picture of how leading architects in Austin are leveraging natural materials to create inviting, contemporary residences.
