Recently acquired Antique Reclaimed White Oak boasts beautiful features not commonly found in new-growth traditionally sawn white oak.

Green beams will typically contain checks, splits and knots. These are natural defects and are normal for these products. Beams can not be returned.
Ash is regularly used for furniture, flooring, doors, architectural millwork and moulding, kitchen cabinets, paneling, tool handles, baseball bats, hockey sticks, skis, oars and turnings. The sapwood is light-colored to nearly white and the heartwood varies from greyish or light brown, to pale yellow streaked with brown. The wood is generally straight-grained with a coarse uniform texture.
The degree and availability of light-colored sapwood, and other properties, will vary according to the growing regions.

We stock a Prime Grade Clear Southern Yellow Pine, known for its strength, straight grain, and warm golden color. Sourced and milled in-house, this lumber is ideal for porch ceilings, soffits, wall paneling, and exterior detailing. Commonly used in both residential and light commercial builds, it machines easily and finishes cleanly, making it a dependable choice for profiles like tongue and groove and shiplap. Cumaru, also known as "Brazilian teak", is an exotic hardwood that naturally resists rot, decay and insect attack. Cumaru is the second hardest decking wood as well. Cumaru has a 50+ year lifespan without preservatives. Cumaru has many benefits over genuine teak. Cumaru works especially well with face screws or a plug system.

Garapa is a stable and durable exotic hardwood from Brazil that is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attack. Garapa is naturally scratch resistant which allows the surface to remain smooth for many years. Garapa is a wood that will out-perform pine, cedar, and other softer woods.
Garapa is a more affordable exotic hardwood for high end residential and commercial projects where more expensive woods like ipe are outside of budget limitations. Garapa has a fine textured grain very similar to ipe. Garapa also has a 25 year warranty against rot and decay.

We offer a high-grade FAS hickory that comes out of Indiana. Often used for the handles of striking tools, such as axes and hammers. It is also used for baseball bats, furniture, ladders, vehicle parts, cutting surfaces, violin bows, piano keys and handles. Hickory is usually straight grained, or it can be wavy or irregular, with a coarse texture that has a medium luster.

Kiln-dried ipe decking is ideal for exterior applications in dry climates. Its moisture content varies from 10 to 18%, putting it precisely between the moisture content levels of typical air-dried ipe decking and interior-grade ipe. In desert climates or high-altitude environments, this hybrid choice is ideal.
Another consideration is the amount of direct sunlight that beats on the wood throughout the day; a high amount of sun exposure can dry out the wood, causing it to warp. By laying down drier kiln dried ipe boards, you reduce the chances of warping. As a result, kiln-dried ipe may be more optimal in unusually dry climates or unshaded areas of the South.

Ipe (Ee-pay) is a tropical hardwood from forests located in South America. An extremely dense wood, ipe has a Class A fire rating. With heights exceeding 120 feet, it is one of the tallest trees in the Amazon with trunk diameters of up to six feet.
Ipe requires extra workmanship skills, but with patience and the proper tools to help the installation go smoothly, ipe will surpass your expectations for style and beauty.

Our pattern grade genuine mahogany is out of South America and is commonly referred to as “Honduran mahogany”. The highest grade of mahogany available (virtually defect-free), this is selected for its straight grain and used for producing high quality, accurate patterns and models. Our FAS Pecan is commonly referred to as Texas Hickory, also known as Pecan Hickory, there are various species of Hickory and Pecan that are closely related and there is often confusion between the two. Pecan has slightly lower strength values than some of the other species of Hickory, but it is still among the hardest and strongest of woods native to the United States. The wood is commonly used where strength or shock-resistance is important. Typically used for smoking meats, charcoal, baseball bats, archery equipment, tool handles, chair making and more.

Purpleheart wood is a deep purple-violet when freshly cut, maturing to a dark brown. and has a medium texture with good natural luster. The original color is restored when re-cut. Purpleheart is rated as being very durable, and resists both decay and most insect attacks, though it has been reported to be susceptible to attack from marine borers.
Common uses for purpleheart lumber include inlays and accent pieces, flooring, furniture, boatbuilding, heavy construction, and a variety of specialty wood items.

We carry Russian birch plywood in a variety of grades and size. This plywood is available in a (5' x 5') or (4' x 8') sizing.
Also known as premium frame alder direct from the Pacific Northwest. Because of its grain pattern, alder is frequently used as a substitute for walnut and cherry. Knotty alder cabinets and mouldings are very popular in high-end homes as well as rustic cabins. Alder machines well and is excellent for turning. It nails, screws and glues well, and can be sanded, painted, or stained to a good finish.
When stained, it blends with walnut, mahogany or cherry. It dries easily with little degrade and has good dimensional stability after drying. Alder, a relative of birch, is almost white when freshly cut but quickly changes on exposure to air, becoming light brown with a yellow or reddish tinge. Heartwood is formed only in trees of advanced age and there is no visible boundary between sap and heartwood. The wood is fairly straight-grained with a uniform texture.

Our sipo mahogany is an FEQ grade hardwood out of Africa. Sipo resembles very closely Honduras mahogany in color and appearance and a large percentage of boards will have pattern or straight grain.
Slightly denser than Honduras mahogany, sipo machines well and has little to no movement in service. It is extremely durable and used for the same applications as Honduras mahogany, including marine applications. Our sipo mahogany is an FEQ grade hardwood out of Africa, not to be confused with khaya, the “African mahogany” which notoriously has stability problems and lack of color uniformity. Sipo resembles very closely Honduras mahogany in color and appearance and a large percentage of boards will have pattern or straight grain.
It is slightly denser than Honduras mahogany, machines well and has little to no movement in service. It is extremely durable and used for the same applications as Honduras mahogany, including marine applications. Sipo is commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, turned objects, veneers, musical instruments, boat-building, and carving.

Surfaced 3 sides, two smooth faces and one straight edge for optimal lumber yield. An S&B grade in soft maple, it is commonly referred to as silver maple, red maple and box elder. The sapwood in the soft maples is considerably wider than in the hard maples and has a lighter heartwood color. Stains well and may be polished to an excellent finish, typical uses for soft maple include domestic flooring, furniture, millwork, piano parts and sporting goods.
Despite its name, Spanish cedar is not only a hardwood (and therefore not a Cedar), it is also not Spanish. Spanish cedar actually comes from the meliaceae family, along with mahogany. Spanish cedar is similar to genuine mahogany in its beautiful coloration, attractive grain pattern and great workability.
Spanish cedar grain is usually quite straight and works well with both hand and power tools. Spanish cedar is also known as "cigar-box cedar", as this was one of its traditional uses. The wood’s natural aroma repels insects, and the high resin count makes it very weather and rot resistant. Due to its low density, the lumber is quite lightweight, which makes this wood highly sought after as a high quality exterior grade species.

The sapwood is light-colored to nearly white and the heartwood varies from greyish or light brown, to pale yellow streaked with brown. The wood is generally straight-grained with a coarse uniform texture.
The degree and availability of light-colored sapwood, and other properties, will vary according to the growing regions.

Our white oak is an FAS grade out of the Appalachian mountains. White oak is a hard and heavy wood typically used for furniture, cabinet making, interior trim work, panelling, flooring, cooperage for wine and whiskey, shingles. White oak heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with an olive cast. Paler sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood.
White oak is rated as very durable and is frequently used in boatbuilding and tight cooperage applications and produces good results with hand and machine tools.
