Accoya has been selected for the renovation of the GeoSouthern Energy’s corporate headquarters. Distributed by Mason’s Mill & lumber, the Accoya cladding was milled into a Vanish Rain Screen profile with a walnut stain for the exterior of the building. Various sizes of Accoya were used ranging from widths between 5”-8”.
In total 55,000lf of Accoya was used for the project. Accoya was chosen due to its stability and durability making it the perfect fit for designers Kirksey. In 1982, NRG Exploration (now GeoSouthern Energy) hired Kirksey to develop the masterplan and design its corporate headquarters on a 4 acre site adjacent to The Woodlands’ greenbelt.- Accsys Group
Thirty years later, GeoSouthern Energy reached out to Kirksey to design the renovation and expansion of their headquarters. This renovation project called for redesigning the interior office spaces from the ground up – Everything about the existing building modernized and much of the interior finishes were refurbished and respected the original design language, including the use of oak paneling, brass accent trims, black granite flooring, and Austin Chalk limestone wall cobbles – Kirsey Architects
