The Craftsman and Arts & Crafts movement reshaped American homes from roughly 1900 to 1930, rejecting Victorian ornament in favor of honest joinery, exposed structure, and quiet horizontal lines. Craftsman moulding is restrained and rectilinear — flat-stock casings with simple back-band trim, wide picture rails, plate rails, deep door headers, and beam-style ceiling trim meant to be read clearly from across the room. Ipe Decking Air Dried

Air dried ipe decking has a higher moisture content and is best for exterior applications with a variety of weather conditions.
Hardwood decking and products manufactured from hardwood decking are natural wood products, and as such will have natural variations in color and grain, including quarter sawn and plain sawn pieces. These variations are an accepted characteristic of these species and products, and are not considered a defect. All decking returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee if the individual pieces are not found to be defective. Any acceptable returns must be in the exact same condition as when they were purchased.
Hardwood decking and products manufactured from hardwood decking are subject to possible movement in service including expansion and contraction. Some pieces with slight warp are possible as well. It is advised that proper installation techniques are followed to minimize the possible movement in service of these products. Mason’s Mill & Lumber is not responsible for any possible movement in service, as this is a natural characteristic of all wood.
Mason’s Mill and Lumber will not be responsible or issue a credit for any cup, warp, twist or splitting that occurs in any custom cut Fir or Cedar boards or beams. These issues can be present in material cut from larger beams and timbers and need to be accounted for by the buyer when determining if Fir or Cedar is appropriate for the intended application. Cedar and Fir products will typically have knots.
