We specialize in custom flooring tailored for premium projects, offering options you won’t find at typical flooring outlets. From wide plank to long-length flooring, we work with both reclaimed woods and new-growth species in grades ranging from rustic character to select. Using proprietary rift and quarter-sawn white oak with only tight and sound defects, we can craft wide plank flooring that mirrors the look of antique, reclaimed white oak timbers—at a fraction of the cost.
Sipo Mahogany S3S
Surfaced 3 sides, two smooth faces and one straight edge for optimal lumber yield. Our sipo mahogany is an FEQ grade hardwood out of Africa, not to be confused with khaya, the “African mahogany” which notoriously has stability problems and lack of color uniformity. Sipo resembles very closely Honduras mahogany in color and appearance and a large percentage of boards will have pattern or straight grain.
It is slightly denser than Honduras mahogany, machines well and has little to no movement in service. It is extremely durable and used for the same applications as Honduras mahogany, including marine applications. Sipo is commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, turned objects, veneers, musical instruments, boat-building, and carving.
