From millwork and furniture to cabinetry, flooring, and architectural detailing, the right hardwood makes the difference. Mason’s Mill & Lumber supplies domestic and imported hardwood lumber — precision-sawn, grade-selected, and ready for your next project.
Hardwood is prized for its strength, durability, and natural beauty. Unlike softwoods, hardwoods originate from broadleaf trees and generally offer greater density, wear resistance, and distinctive grain patterns that enhance design value.
What hardwood brings to your project:
Superior durability and longevity — ideal for interior and exterior applications with frequent use.
Rich visual character — distinct grains and hues elevate millwork, cabinetry, and furniture.
Design flexibility — accepts staining, finishing, and machining with precision.
Long-term value — hardwood elements often boost resale and finish quality.
Wood traps dirt, pollen and grime and when using exotic hardwood lumber it pays to maintain it. The Part 1 cleaner eliminates mildew, dirt, mold and stubborn stains. It also removes graying and reconditions Ipe, Tigerwood, Cumaru, Redwood, Cedar decking and outdoor wooden furniture or hardwood siding. Rejuvenate the rich color and distinct wood grain patterns and restore the all-natural lavish color before properly refinishing. The concentrated powders are developed to clean external hardwood decks, fences, hardwood siding, wood railings, benches, chairs and other outside wooden objects.
The Cleaner Part 1 is an oxygen rich wood cleaner that contains no bleach. When you follow the instructions on the Deck and Wood Cleaner label, the product is safe to use and will not damage wood, vegetation or lawn and is bio-degradable. Do not use a power washer on hardwood lumber which could leave scars and raise the wood grain. Always scrub with a non-metal brush. Wood cleansers can easily increase the pH level of lumber. Always follow cleaning with the DeckWise® Deck and Wood Brightener Part 2.
DeckWise® Deck Cleaner & Brightener Part 2 restores the pH level back a neutral state. It also removes tough rust and tannin stains caused by leaves, as well as mold and fungi stains while brightening the hardwood for finishing. It is recommended for use on most species of hardwood, including Redwood, Ipe, Cedar, Cumaru, Tigerwood and thermally modified softwoods. Brighten and restore the all-natural allure of outdoor wooden decking and rainscreen wood siding, outdoor furniture, hardwood fences, wood railings and steps. The goal of our product is to prepare the wood after cleaning and to eliminate the caustic affect from the Cleaner. The Brightener Part 2 is an oxygen-rich formula that contains the ingredient Oxalic Acid. It is a pH neutralizer and will re-establish the pH level to the wood.
Once the wood pH is neutral, the wood is ready to accept your choice of stain or oil finish more evenly and will certainly improve the beauty of the wood. We recommend our Ipe Oil Hardwood Oil Finish. The brightener also prepares new wood by stripping mill glaze. It can be used to eliminate rusty areas on concrete, brick and masonry as well. The Brightener Part 2 is a powder concentrate offered in 16 oz. jars. Mix at a 4:1 ratio with warm water. For tougher jobs, you may require several applications or a more powerful mixture.
Deck boards are the visible surface of outdoor living space, and the material you choose dictates longevity, maintenance, and character.

Since 1989, Mason’s Mill & Lumber has been a trusted source of high-quality hardwood lumber for builders, fabricators, and artisans. We combine deep inventory, flexible milling capabilities, and material expertise to support projects of all sizes and complexities.
Hardwood lumber comes from broadleaf trees and is valued for its density, strength, and grain complexity — making it ideal for furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and detailed millwork.
Hardwoods generally have a more complex cellular structure with greater density and stronger wear resistance than softwoods, which are often lighter and more uniform.
Cherry, Walnut, Maple, and Oak are popular choices due to their workability, finish acceptance, and grain character.
