Assembly Park in Plano, Texas, is a standout example of innovative urban redevelopment. Once the site of Market Square Mall, it has been transformed into a thriving mixed-use community featuring 180,000 square feet of creative office space, 17,000 square feet of walkable retail and dining, and 305 multifamily residential units—all centered around a newly planted park and community event space that promotes an active, connected lifestyle.
Designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, the project breathes new life into the former mall structure.
The team preserved key architectural elements while adding modern facades, grand entryways, and detailed brick and tile work to create a warm, pedestrian-friendly environment.
Mason’s Mill & Lumber Co. was proud to support this transformation by supplying Thermory Clear Pine Cladding for the exterior. Chosen for its durability, sustainability, and clean visual appeal, this thermally modified wood helped bring the design vision to life.
