Camden Park, Houston’s newest urban oasis in the heart of the Westchase District, officially opened its gates on April 12, 2025, after more than a decade of vision, planning, and community investment. Spanning 3.5 acres at 2951 Wilcrest Drive, the park features an expansive activity lawn, performance pavilion, water-play zone, playground, and a fenced dog park—all designed to bring people together in a vibrant, outdoor setting.

One of the park’s most striking design elements comes from Renfrow+Co,

a Houston-based fabrication company known for blending steel and wood into sculptural, functional features. Their intricate installations—like the eye-catching hummingbird climbing structure—bring an artistic edge to the park’s recreational space and celebrate craftsmanship in every detail.

Ipe, a dense tropical hardwood, was chosen for its natural strength, slip resistance, and proven durability—perfect for high-traffic, outdoor environments.
