Quartersawn is a term that refers to the visual characteristics of the face of each board, The lumber is quartersawn for the best grain rather than the highest grade. Our Quartered White Oak is a S&B grade out of the Appalachian mountains. Rift White Oak is a hard and heavy wood typically used for flooring, furniture, cabinet making, interior trim work, paneling, cooperage for wine and whiskey, shingles... etc
