Milled Lumber Samples

Order milled lumber samples to see real profiles, surfaces, and species in hand before you commit to full runs or large orders. Compare how different milled options look and feel so you can match them to your project’s trim, paneling, or custom millwork with confidence.

Compare milled lumber samples before you finalize your profiles

Milled lumber is where design intent meets precision. Our milled lumber samples let you review real profiles, surfaces, and species so you can confirm scale, proportion, and appearance before you sign off on a trim package, paneling layout, or custom millwork run. Seeing the actual profile in hand makes it easier to coordinate with doors, windows, flooring, and other architectural details.

Mason’s Mill & Lumber has been custom-milling lumber and profiles since 1989, serving cabinet shops, builders, millwork houses, and homeowners. Ordering milled lumber samples through our online shop gives you a low-risk way to compare stock and custom-style profiles, evaluate the quality of our machining, and ensure the profile is right for your project before we produce larger volumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

A milled lumber sample is a short length of a milled profile—such as casing, baseboard, crown, T&G, or other pattern—intended for review and approval only. It shows the exact shape and machining quality so you can verify that it’s the right profile for your project; it is not sold as usable finish material on its own.

Milled lumber samples are helpful for builders, trim carpenters, cabinet shops, millwork houses, designers, and homeowners working on projects where the profile and proportion of trim and paneling are critical to the overall look.

No. As stated in your sample policy, sample orders cannot be cancelled or returned, because each piece is prepared specifically to support your selection process and is not restocked as standard inventory.

Non-stock profile samples will not be species specific. If you require a particular species in a particular profile—such as a custom casing in rift white oak—contact Mason’s Mill sales first. We can advise on feasibility, minimums, and whether we can produce a species-specific sample for your project.

SAMPLE ORDERS CANNOT BE CANCELLED OR RETURNED.

2-3 days processing for sample orders. Non-stock profile samples will not be species-specific. Contact Sales for a quote on specific species in the profile sample you need.
